On October 10, Matthias lectured on the topic Bach on the Guitar: Principles and Examples of an applied Baroque Sound at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. After his presentation, which included a demonstration of specific musical examples on the guitar, he performed his own transcription of Johann Sebastian Bach's Sonata in D minor (BWV 964) in front of Professor Danny Yeh and his guitar students.
