Matthias' student Julio Quimbayo Bolaños from Costa Rica has won the Third Prize at the International Guitar Competition held in Changsha, capital of the Chinese province Hunan.

This time at the competition, which took place July 17-19, the First and Second Prize were not awarded by the jury, among which were well-known guitarists like Johannes Möller and Jason Vieaux. Moreover, three weeks later Julio has won the Third Prize and a special award for the best set piece at the International Guitar Competition in Hong Kong.
