In June 2013, Matthias was a guest artist at the X Encuentro Internacional de Guitarra Panamá. Among other young guitarists like Ana Vidovic and Petrit Ceku, he performed a solo recital and gave a masterclass to the guitar students. In addition, Matthias performed the Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Panamá.
