On January 19, Matthias performed at the Hesselhoher Schlösschen in Neuburg.

Together with Flutist Kozue Sato and cellists Alexander Suleiman and Antonio Clavijo-Rojas, he started off the series "Weltkultur im Salon" with music from Latin America in various instrumental settings. The multifarious repertory of the tango and the Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla as master of this genre were central to the whole evening.
